Terms of Service & Refund Policy

These terms govern your use of the "EML to PDF" Chrome extension ("the Extension") and any paid features within it.

1. The service

The Extension converts .eml email files into PDF documents entirely on your own device. A portion of usage is available free of charge; beyond that, extended use requires a one-time payment ("Unlock"), tied to the Google account you sign in with.

2. Free usage

• The Extension provides a free usage allowance that does not require sign-in or payment.
• We reserve the right to adjust the free usage allowance at any time; changes will not retroactively reduce usage you've already made within the allowance in effect at the time.

3. Paid access ("Unlock")

• Unlock is a one-time payment, not a subscription. There is no recurring billing.
• Payment grants extended/unlimited conversions tied to the Google account email used at checkout.
• Unlock is tied to your Google account, not to a specific device or browser installation — signing in with the same Google account on another device restores your access.
• Current pricing is shown at checkout and may change over time; the price you pay is the price displayed at the time of your purchase.

4. Payment processing

All payments are processed by Dodo Payments, a third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store your payment card details. By making a purchase, you also agree to Dodo Payments' Terms of Service.

5. Refund policy

• Because Unlock grants immediate digital access, purchases are generally non-refundable once access has been granted and used.
• We will consider a refund request if:
  • You were charged in error (e.g., duplicate charge)
  • The paid feature did not unlock within a reasonable time after a successful payment, despite following the troubleshooting steps we provide
  • You request a refund promptly after purchase and have not made substantial use of the unlocked feature
• To request a refund, contact [SUPPORT EMAIL] with your payment confirmation and the Google account email used at checkout. We aim to respond promptly.
• Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Dodo Payments and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
• We reserve the right to decline refund requests that show signs of abuse (e.g., repeated purchase-and-refund cycles).

6. Account and access

You are responsible for maintaining access to the Google account used at checkout. We identify paid access by that account's email address; we cannot restore access to a different, unverified email address without proof of purchase. We reserve the right to suspend access in cases of fraud, chargebacks, or abuse of the service.

7. No warranty

The Extension is provided "as is." While we take reasonable care to ensure conversions are accurate, we do not guarantee the Extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any specific legal, regulatory, or evidentiary purpose. You are responsible for verifying that converted documents meet your own requirements before relying on them (for example, for legal or compliance use).

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Extension, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of business, or costs of substitute services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Extension is limited to the amount you paid us for the purchase giving rise to the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict of law principles.
